Just finished working 3 double shifts in a row, and decided we needed to get a jump start on camping. Shelly packed up the camper on monday. We left for Inks lake state park just before noon. Arrived about 2:15, and drove around checking to see which site we wanted. We decided on #336 with water only. $15 per night plus $70 for the annual park pass. Shelly made chicken salad sandwiches. Sat in the lawn chairs watching the sun set over the lake, and then sat around a campfire. Perfect weather, it's in the 50's for the fire.
Wednesday, dec 5
Woke up to 32* , drank coffee. Shelly made breakfast. Walked the dogs across the park and saw the famous devil's waterhole. About 3 miles round trip, and Shelly is in flip flops because I forgot her tennis shoes. Drove to Llano to get tennis shoes. Walked around an antique store. Back at camp, Shelly made tacos for lupper. Tyler called and said they were closing on their house today and was excited. Today is also Ashlee's birthday, so they had a busy day. Sat around a campfire again, and then watched 2 and 1/2 men on the DVD. The battery lasted great while watching the tv. The voltage only dropped from 12.6 to 12.4 and we were only using one battery!

I decided to try typing our journal on this IPad instead of handwriting. Shelly says the constant clicking is annoying. I think handwriting is easier, but this will be legible. I don't know how to save this either. We'll see! Wow. I just copied and pasted to our blog!
Friday
Checked into Blanco state park, and visited with everyone. Went to the antique store in Blanco. Had hot dogs and appetizers.
Saturday
Shelly came in second place in her flamingo decorating contest. The theme was grandma got run over by an Airstream. She had the flamingo decorated as grandma, and Barbies as paramedics, carrying grandma on a stretcher. Shelly made her famous Mexican chicken.
