Shelly and I left a day later than planned because of the cool rainy weather, and decided on staying at the roadrunner park Thursday instead of the two nights at pedernales falls. We showed up about one and found there were several Airstreams already here. Joy and Jim bought the wheels and tires off of our 2003 Classic, and I installed them on their Airstream. There was about 12 Airstreams in the park by the end of the day, and most of us were surprised everyone was a day early. We walked across the road to the Mexican restaurant, and visited with Jim, Jim and Joy, Sid and Bonnie, and Roseann.
Friday morning, we drove to Pedernales Falls and hiked to the falls. Took pictures, and walked to the swimming area. On our way back to Johnson city, we saw a small car veer into a motor home, and got pushed sideways. Everyone was okay.
I got to take a short nap, while Shelly talked to Erica. Sid volunteered me to help cook the burgers and hot dogs. There was way too much food as usual, so everyone got stuffed.
Saturday morning, Shelly, Sid, Bonnie, and I drove to Fredricksburg, stopping at Wildseed farm on the way. The place was crowded, but a neat place to visit. We ate at a German American restaurant on Main Street. It was decent, but I don't think I'd recommend it. We drove on the back road getting back to Johnson city. The flowers were not great this year, but it was a great day to be out and about. Back at camp, Shelly started cooking cavatini, while everyone was doing open house. We had lots of visitors, and also checked out several other's Airstreams. Supper was a pot luck, and we made gluttons out of ourselves again.
Sunday morning, we packed up and said our goodby's to everyone, and thanked the rally hosts Bruce and Roseann for a great rally.
